KAFALAT, Lebanon’s credit guarantee agency, and in response to the request of ADP’s management, disseminated a new circular to all banks in Lebanon soliciting them to support farmer groups benefiting from ADP in obtaining subsidized loans.
KAFALAT, whose support basically enables farmer groups to benefit from its schemes, has requested that banks consider the EU grant to farmer groups (40% of the value of each project) as part of their private equity when processing their loan applications.
This indeed shall assist groups in covering their share of their project’s financing needs (60% of the value of each project
ADP management wishes to extend its sincere thanks and gratitude to KAFALAT and to banks as well, especially that their backing shall indeed provide strategic support to a key economic sector in Lebanon, as it shall contribute to the development of rural areas in the country.
