Within the Market Information Systems (MIS) contract, the FCCIAL is responsible for the provision of information concerning the fruits and vegetables in the local and export markets, in addition to the farm management and accounting services.

Within Local Market Information System (MIS) component, the FCCIAL provides timely information on the Prices of the main Lebanese fruits and vegetables, as collected from the wholesale markets of Beirut, Sidon, Tripoli and Kab Elias (Bekaa).

Experts in the four regional Chambers visit the aforementioned wholesale markets three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), as to collect prices of certain locally produced crops. Visits take place between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 a.m.

All gathered data is then sent to the FCCIAL central local MIS expert who accordingly prepares price reports (3 times a week) containing analysis and comments relevant to the witnessed price trends.

Also within this service, the FCCIAL provides customized information related to the fruits and vegetables sector in Lebanon, including Norms and Standards issued by LIBNOR, external trade statistics, contact details of importers and exporters, in addition to Post-Harvest Techniques.
