LARI was support a pest and disease forecast program where 12 tenders out of 15 tenders were achieved during the reporting period in which LARI was distributed 48 computers to 48 involved farmer groups. In addition, LARI has installed 44 Agrometeorological stations at LARI's stations and in different Lebanese selected sites of target farmers groups. Also, LARI has purchased two 4 wheel drive cars, rehabilitated two laboratories (phytopatology central lab and Fanar entomology lab) in addition to the rehabilitation of meteo rooms at six LARI stations (3 rooms in Tel Amara Station, one in Fanar, one in Lebaa, one in Sour, one in Abdeh and one in Kfarchakhna). LARI was also equipped with lab equipments, chemicals, traps and lures in order to enhance laboratory capacity specific to pest and disease forecast service. In addition, LARI was equipped with 5 digital cameras, 5 Laptops and 10 computers allowing communicating with the 48 farmer groups and with Tel Amara central phytopathology laboratory and Fanar entomology laboratory in addition to internet connections at Fanar stations and at selected farmer groups. LARI was executed also 180 days abroad missions to European research centers (France and Italy) through LARI researchers/assistants. Missions were followed by reports for awareness and transfer of technology. In parallel, 150 days were dedicated to international experts in order to support national staff to put the service on the road. During the implementation phase of the project, LARI was able to offer students in the various stations to fill the lack of human resources. Within the same action, LARI was developed an internet website to provide the ADP supported farmer group's data specific to pest and disease forecast service.
